the building blocks to our identity

what creates and sustains true love with oneself

Lately, I’ve come to believe that the construct of one’s identity/mere essence is understood most at the root of all that we do — by our actions.

Beginning at the deepest layer, this essence is built on a foundation of our most profound morals, values, and what we measure ourselves by. Which, I feel, can be nurtured to be something greater once we become aware of their subconscious nature.

However, to maintain such novice in one’s nature is greatly fragile, therefore we must handle personal growth as such with care and grace.

To strengthen, stabilize, and sustain a new foundation, we must create repetitive actions in alignment with our adapted morals, values, and what we measure ourselves by; simply, we must create habits in congruent to the person we aspire to embody.

Psychology states that it merely takes about 3 weeks to build a new habit…roughly 21 days to create a refreshed and innate value, 21 days for transforming, enlightening growth.

I’ve been inspired lately on the topic of foundations below the surface, including what foundation we look to when seeking new friendships/romantic relationships, and with that, the curiosity of the foundation within.
