Self-Care as a Lifestyle

I feel as if more and more aspects to our lives are being seen through a narrow viewpoint.

It’s almost as if there is only one way of intellectual thought and it’s deemed as the factual choice, but in reality, a majority of our lives and all the details within are fairly subjective.

Yet we comply with this “standardized” way of living never actually experiencing or exploring what details of the world mean to us.

For example, self-care. Self-care in this modern age is seen as something fairly simple— put on a face mask, play your favorite music, take a bubble bath, etc., etc., and boom, you’re cured…or that’s how it’s showcased, anyways.

Overtime, I’ve learned that self-care is far more than just putting on a mud mask when you’ve had a bad day at work.

Self-care is a lifestyle, not once in a while, every other Tuesday, or even once a week, but every day.

We should always be considerate of our health in all ways and be caring for each aspect individually.

Some days, though, it may take more caring for than others.
